As of Feb 2012, VegasFlash has changed its name! Our new group name is Las Vegas Adobe Web & Mobile User Group. We're expanding our focus to include topics in web and mobile development. We felt that a name change would best serve the group going forward. We continue to believe that a user group is nothing without users. Bring your own laptop and learn how to build a mobile application on iPhone, iPad, and Android.

HTML has emerged as a powerful alternative to "native" to enable cross-platform mobile application development. But how do you build large, complex, and native-like mobile apps using HTML, JavaScript and CSS? This session covers modern strategies to build large JavaScript projects using JavaScript MVC frameworks, and how to use PhoneGap to leverage the native capabilities of your device in JavaScript and to package your HTML application as a native app for distribution through the different app stores.

This is not a product pitch. This is going to be a highly hands-on, rapid fire workshop. Topics include using backbone.js, Twitter Boostrap, JQuery and other technologies to build sophisticated apps.

Adobe Evangelists Renaun Erickson & Greg Wilson Build Apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, PC and Mac!

Multi-platform madness, Batman! Renaun & Greg are back to demonstrate building applications using Adobe Flex Mobile and Adobe Flash Builder 4.5. Adobe Flex is the only technology that can build a consistent application across all platforms including Apple iPhone/iPad and Google Android.

We're one of a handful of cities to be part of the 2011 Flash Builder Tour. Just like last year, we're going to have a great time with our friends at McMullan's Irish Pub. Happy Hour starts at 6pm with great Irish food and a cash bar for adult beverages. Renaun & Greg's presentation kicks off at 7pm and we'll learn how to build applications for phones, tablets, and the web with the latest features in Adobe Flex and Flash Builder 4.5.

Adobe has provided giveaways for this event including two copies of Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 and Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Premium. If you've attended a previous meeting, you'll receive an extra raffle entry for each previous meeting.

Adobe Evangelist Greg Wilson Demonstrates Mobile Development!

Adobe Technical Evangelist Greg Wilson will be here on March 16th to show us how to build one application that runs on iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry.  If you are interested in mobile development for phones or tablets using Flex "Hero" or HTML5, this is a meeting you won't want to miss.  You'll see how new tools and new Creative Suite CS5 features help you get more done.

We'll have plenty of giveaways including t-shirts, books, software, and Adobe Creative Suite CS5 software.  We're meeting at UNLV Educational Outreach which is across the street from the main UNLV campus.  The meeting kicks off with FREE food at 6:00pm with presentations beginning at 6:30pm.  Grab a bite, network with other Adobe users, socialize, and find out what Adobe is working on.
