Some of you might have received a notice for our upcoming OC Flash meeting, to be held on March 6th. The link to the meeting notice was correct, but the email contents were for the February 7th meeting. My apologies for any confusion.
The link for March's meeting, as well as the agenda, are below. More details, including information regarding the location and a link to RSVP through Meetup, can be found via the link below.

Thank you to all that participated in our February OC Flash meeting, where we discussed obtaining credentials for developing for iOS. We also agreed on our meeting dates for 2012 and identified some topics for our upcoming meetings.
Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at roundpeg in Newport Beach. Our agenda will be as follows:
We will continue our discussion regarding how we can use Flash and other Adobe tools to deliver apps to a wide audience with a minimum of redundancy in development. Topics will include:

Kristina Kish with share some techniques for using the AS3 (Action Script 3) time and tween classes to keep file sizes down by using fewer frames.
We will also talk about the benefits of being an OCMMA member and a participant in our OC Flash meetings. We will discuss:

To All Flash Developers,
Damion Donaldson is a recent member of OCCMA and has an opportunity via another orange county professional organization called the (ASTD) American Society of Training and Develop - Orange County Chapter. A member of ASTD-OC working for Corinthian Colleges contacted Damion in search of Flash Developers. Naturally, Damion thought of OCCMA’s Flash Developer group about this opportunity.
Damion's contact is hoping to have someone hired by the end of January. Unfortunately, Damion's contact will only allow Damion to provide her with resumes (see the message she wrote Damion below).
Message from ASTD contact...
We spoke briefly at the ASTD learning event on December 15th.
My company, Corinthian Colleges, Inc. is looking for Flash developers who can do object-oriented Flash development. Is this something that you or others in your user group are familiar with?
For an example of the type of thing we’re looking to develop, please see the “Virtual Knee Surgery” program at http://www.edheads.org/. (Left button bar, 8th button down) We’ll begin working on our Paralegal and Criminal Justice programs early in 2011 and would like to incorporate “drag and drop” exercises. Also, we have a backlog of materials needed for our Business program where we’d like to incorporate some flash-based quizzes and review exercises.
The work is likely to be on a contract basis. I’m not aware of the budget, but if you’re interested, I can put you in touch with people who know that information. If you are interested in this job opportunity please contact Damion at 619-884-3350 (cell) so you can further discuss disseminating this information quickly.
Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
