Adobe Technology in Tempe UG is proud to announce a new series of labs we are going to be putting together in conjunction with our regular presentations that focuses on real world, in the trenches, essential skills that helps us get the most out of the tools we use everyday.
The first lab will cover command line basics and some neat tricks such as sed, awk, grep, etc to automate your workflow with shell scripts, traverse log files for specific errors, do clever find and replaces, etc. Shutterfly relies heavily on the power of the command line to integrate our automated build servers, continuous integration servers, version control systems, etc to the Adobe products we use.
Bring your laptop for two hours of great hands on instruction and lets have a great geek out time!
NOTE: If you are on a PC laptop, make sure to install Cygwin so that you can run the Linux style commands we will be covering. If you are on a Mac, you are good to go. If you are on a Linux laptop, you probably know everything we are going to cover but do it for the pizza!
