Meeting Update....
Entry posted on Feb 06, 2013 by Eric Addison

I just wanted to let you know all know some change of plans for the next couple months. I’ve got some good news and some bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news – Jason Levine won’t be joining us at this month’s meeting. Instead, we’ll jump into the next phase of production – media ingest and project organization. I’ll be sending out the meeting notice very soon.

The good news is that Jason will be presenting (and be the keynote speaker) at the Adobe Create Now event March 16 and 17 here in San Diego. He’s planning on doing two sessions each day, and I believe the sessions will be different each day.

Also presenting will be Brian Kim and Mike Brueggemeyer. They’ll be talking about After Effects, and for those that remember Brian’s presentations from last year’s Boot Camp, those should be some really cool, not-to-miss presentations! I’ll also be doing a After Effects 101 class for those that have little to no experience in using After Effects.

The cost for the event is $49.95 for both days, or $29.95 for one day. That includes a lunch as well.

Like last time, presentations will not just cover the Adobe video apps, it’ll cover all the programs in the Adobe family. Stephen Burns from the San Diego Photoshop User Group has a whole list of presenters talking about Photoshop, and the Flash user group will have people presenting as well.

We’re still getting all the details and presentations lined up, but if you want to get signed up now, you can go to the event page and register today - http://createnowsandiego.eventbrite.com/#

Anyone interested in volunteering to help, please let me know.

I’ll have more information at our monthly meeting on the 21st. See you then!
